A number of cars have been swept away by water following heavy rains in Steelpoort in the Greater Tubatse Municipality on Tuesday afternoon.
It is alleged that amongst the cars was a taxi which was on its way to pick up staff workers.

The driver was still alone at the time but he is still missing. The wreckage was found empty. The incident happened near Glencore’s Thorncliffe mine in Tubatse near Steelpoort outside Lydenburg, Limpopo.
STEELPOORT CARS SWEPT AWAY
Motorists have been warned to exercise extreme caution. The Limpopo Department of Transport have indicated that they are awaiting a full and detailed report on the incident.
