The department has been ordered to take Zuma back into custody for him to resume serving his 15-month sentence.

In its judgment, the court says the time ex President spent on parole will not be counted as time served as part of the original sentence.

The correctional services department said in a brief statement on Wednesday it “is studying the judgment”.

“In due course, we will make further pronouncements.”
