Jane Furse police are seeking community assistance in tracing the next of kin of a man who was found murdered on Tuesday, 18 January 2022.

The incident was reported just before 09:00am as a man in his 40s was found lying dead near the road to Mamone, Sekhukhune District.

Police said the body of the victim had been discovered with multiple stab wounds on the head by a passerby.

The deceased is black in colour, of medium build with short hair and he was found naked. Black trousers (denim) and grasshopper shoes were next to him.

“The police preliminary investigations from the crime scene suggest that the deceased might have been killed somewhere and dumped there.” police said

The motive behind this killing and the location where he was killed is still unknown at this stage. The suspect(s) are unknown and there is also no arrest.
