Limpopo MEC for Social Development Nkakareng Rakgoale today handed over school uniform to 246 learners in the Waterberg District.

MEC Rakgoale kickstarted the province-wide program of the handing over of uniforms in the Vhembe District. The total number of targeted learners in all five districts is 918.

This is also part of the social services package of the department aimed at supporting children who have been identified as needy and vulnerable by social workers.

NKAKARENG RAKGOALE HAND OVER SCHOOL UNIFORM

The department has a mandate in line with the National Development Plan as outlined in Vision 2030. It directs the department to eradicate poverty and reduce inequality.

The new school uniform to be handed over by the MEC will go a long way in developing a sense of pride and inspire learners to study hard without any stigmatization.
