Four suspects have been arrested in connection with a chain of business robberies and carjacking cases that were reported at Tshaulu and Thohoyandou in February 2022.
On 16 February 2022, members were in operation when they received information about the vehicle that was used to commit robbery at Tshaulu. It was parked at a local fuel station in Sibasa, Thulamela Municipality.

The team followed the leads and traced the suspects at their residential area. They were in Maniini and Tshisele villages, Thohoyandou Unit E, Sibasa and Thohoyandou Unit P East.
The four suspects were arrested and positively linked to three business robberies at Tshaulu. Two of these suspects aged 25 and 34 were linked with the Thohoyandou robbery and carjacking incident that occurred also during February 2022.

Police also recovered the vehicle, a white Yaris. The suspects might be linked with other cases in the Vhembe District as police investigations are unfolding.
More arrests are expected, these suspects might be linked with other cases at the District as Police investigations unfold. The suspects will soon appear in the local magistrate court
