Three people were killed and three others escaped with serious injuries in a multiple-vehicle crash involving three trucks and a loading van in Elim. This happened on the R578 road at Mbhokota Village in Vhembe, Limpopo.

It is alleged that a truck heading East had brakes failure and collided head-on with another truck.

MULTIPLE-VEHICLE CRASH

A loading Van and truck heading in the same direction crashed into the rear end of the truck. The driver of the loading van and two people from a truck were killed instantly.

The road between Elim and Bungeni is currently closed, emergency personnel are on the ground clearing the wreckage from the road.

Motorists traveling between Loui Trichardt and Giyani are advised to be cautious on the road. Alternatively use routes until the road is cleared.
