A 17-year-old child was arrested for allegedly killing an elderly woman aged 85 at Kuranta village under Mokwakwaila policing area in Bolobedu, Limpopo.
The deceased’s body was found with gruesome stab wounds in her house yesterday morning, Tuesday 17 May 2022 at about 06:00.
ARRESTED FOR KILLING A WOMAN
The child was brought to the police station by a family member who suspected that something was amiss about him. This follows the murder of their neighbour.
POLICE HAVE THEIR SAY
“We appreciate the conduct of the family member who brought the child to the police station. This will send a clear message that perpetrators of crime have to be subjected to the rule of law. Regardless of relationships. Offenders within our own families have to be reported to the police,” Said Lieutenant General Hadebe.
The child will be dealt with in accordance with the Child Justice Act.
