Former ANC Regional Secretary Tolly Mashamaite on Tuesday appeared at the Mokopane magistrate court, Limpopo in connection with the killings of Mogalakwena Municipality Councilors.
Mashamaite together with Bafhundzi Mhlabisi were arrested in Mokopane on Monday, 6 March. The pair were arrested for the 2019 double murders of Valtyn Kekana and Ralph Kanyane.
TOLLY MASHAMAITE AND CO-ACCUSED REMANDED
It follows meticulous investigations conducted by a team that was assembled soon after the murders were committed on Tuesday, 23 July 2019. Mashamaite [47] and Mhlabisi [63] were remanded in custody until Tuesday, 14 March 2023.

Meanwhile, the Police have also confirmed that another suspect was arrested on Tuesday afternoon.

The latest suspect was arrested at Naboomspruit in the Waterberg District and will appear in Mokopane magistrate court tomorrow on Wednesday 08 March 2023.
The suspects are facing two counts of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
This brings the total number of suspects arrested to eight.
