The Polokwane Municipality in Limpopo has issued a warning to their contractors against scammers impersonating their Municipality Manager. The municipality revealed on Tuesday that there were people who are presenting themselves to be the Municipal Manager Ms. Thuso Nemugumoni.

Those people contact contractors, via email, to make appointments for awarding of tenders and possibly to solicit bribes. 

POLOKWANE MUNICIPALITY WARNING AGAINST SCAMMERS  

“The email address would appear to be authentic, however, it is not the email address of the Municipal Manager,” said the Municipality in a statement.

“This could be a ghost or display name of the email address. It is worth noting that contractors interact with Project Managers and not the Municipal Manager. The matter will be forwarded to the law enforcement agencies for investigation.”’
