Three male suspects aged between 35 and 48 were arrested after stolen livestock was recovered near the Nyl plaza in Mokopane on Friday, 17 March 2023.
One motor vehicle with a trailer was seized carrying stolen goats and sheep.

The three suspects were driving in an Isuzu bakkie from Musina heading to Gauteng province when their vehicle was stopped during a roadblock as well as stop. Search operations were conducted by police officers from the Provincial Office. Police in the process managed to recover a total of 56 goats, 3 sheep. They also confiscated the vehicle used to transport the livestock.

Culprits to appear in Mokopane court
The three suspects, two of whom are foreign nationals, are expected to appear in the Mokopane Magistrate’s Court on Monday 20 March 2023. They face a charge of possession of suspected stolen livestock.
The recovered livestock is impounded in Mokopane. Police call upon anyone whose goats and or sheep have gone missing to contact the Police in Mokopane. Also the Stock theft standby number 0824501588.
