The Police at Thohoyandou in Vhembe District, Limpopo have launched a manhunt after two people were found brutally murdered in the CBD in the early hours of Sunday. The incident occurred at around 02:40.
The victims, a male (32) and a female (27) were found in a car with gunshot wounds.

Police received a complaint about two people who were shot dead while inside a white VW Polo motor vehicle with Gauteng registration numbers.
On arrival at the scene, police found the motor vehicle parked outside the restaurant. With a male victim in the driver’s seat and a female also in the front passenger seat.
Further observation by the police indicated that the motor vehicle was riddled with multiple bullet holes.

Preliminary investigations also revealed that the deceased were shot dead at close range. Unknown suspects were driving an unknown white bakkie. The deceased’s identity will be released as soon as next of kin are informed
The motive for killing the two is also unknown at this stage and police investigations are ongoing.
The Acting Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Major General Jan Scheepers has called upon Community members to come forward with information. This could assist the Police in arresting people responsible for the killing of the two.
“Anyone with information that can assist the police with the immediate arrest of the suspects, is urged to come forward,” concluded Major General Scheepers.
