Police in Sekhukhune District in Limpopo activated a massive manhunt for a group of unknown heavily armed suspects who bomb an ATM at a Shell Garage at Ga-Rantho Village, in the early hours of Thursday.
According to information, a group of unknown men armed with firearms entered the garage and started to shoot. They proceeded to the ATMs. Set their explosives and blasted one of the ATMs and got away with an undisclosed amount of money.
SUSPECTS BOMB ATM IN SEKHUKHUNE DISTRICT
The Police were summoned to the scene. Upon their arrival, the suspects driving in a White Toyota Legend 45 and Blue VW Polo noticed the police and started shooting at them. The police also retaliated and a crossfire ensued.
One of the suspects, about 35 years of age was also shot and fatally wounded in the process. His accomplices managed to evade arrest.
