In aggravation of the sentence, the state Adv. Rabelani Mutsinda Makhera submitted that the accused is a heartless person. He did not show any respect for the life of the deceased. The way he chopped him, it was as if he was killing a snake to make sure that it is dead.
Makhera further said that the accused pleaded guilty because the state evidence was overwhelming.
