Moletjie, Ga-Semenya-born and owner of Top Class Designs, Mpho David Setati specialises in luxury suits, occasional attire such as wedding dresses, and matric dance attire.
Setati is a pioneer in the fashion industry and has solidified his presence in the industry with his quintessential brand, especially in Limpopo. He started to be involved in the fashion industry in 2015 at the age of 21.
At first, it was difficult for his mother to accept that being a fashion stylist is his dream because she thought of him to be an Architecture or a Teacher.

Setati was still in the process of also learning more about fashion and business management at the time.
“I began to establish my business in 2019 and named it Top Class Design which identifies more of my catalogue and fashion movement,” he said.
“It mostly deals in Bespoke suits and occasional wear for both gender weddings, special events, matric dances, and birthday parties. Being unique and able to inspire people is one of the things I take as any leader making a mark in the example of building a greater life for youth that if you believe you can achieve your dreams and hard work is an act to expose the dream you have inside you,” said Setati.
It took him years to make a mark and believes no one can make progress without working with other people. Especially those that are senior to you.

“I started working with other individuals to help me promote my profile and business profile people like Lerato Maseogane, Zodwa Mdingi, Sally Sithole, and many more involved in the industry,” he explains.
“I was going through business workshops in learning the systems of business management. First year of establishing my business, I had challenges with clients, not knowing how to handle my issue with them concerning orders and the financial crisis because most would order but not want to pay the balance at the time nor refuse to continue with the process while everything is at the place, secondly, I had challenges with managing my funds, I had no mind in knowing that I have to save for future,” he said.

“My biggest achievement so far is being able to manage my business on everything and growing in ideas than before. Being disciplined, patient, and trusting God’s timing.
I want to see my business going global, be able to supply jobs, it’s my legacy that should live forever., and to work hard and be patient, most of all believe in God that he is a provider and great teacher,” he added.
