Police in Sekhukhune District, Limpopo have activated a massive manhunt after an elderly well-known businesswoman was found burnt inside a hotel with her nephew on Saturday.

The 77-year-old woman and a family member were allegedly attacked and murdered at a hotel just outside Ohrigstad. The incident happened around 13:30.

According to the information received, Police were alerted of an incident which suggested that there was trouble on the Premises. On their arrival at the scene, they also found two burnt bodies of a white male and a female inside two different buildings (houses).

The deceased are identified as 77 years old and 73 years old Owner of the business and her nephew.

According to the information received, one African male wearing balaclavas was seen fleeing the scene. The motive for the killing is also unknown, and no arrests have been made.

The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe condemned the brutal yet senseless attack and the subsequent killing. She has also called upon anyone with information to contact the Police.
