ABC Motsepe League Limpopo Champions Mpheni Home Defenders began their national playoffs campaign with a much-needed victory. Mpheni defeated Mlambo Royal Cubs from Mpumalanga 2-1 in a Group C match at Harry Gwala Stadium in KZN.
This was Mpheni’s first match of the SAFA playoffs. They now top Group C with three points and four goals. A win against Orbit College from the North West on Thursday could secure them a place in the semifinals. The match will start at 13:00

Umsinga United from KwaZulu-Natal are the only club that has qualified for the semifinals of the playoffs so far. They confirmed their place with a 7-1 against Buffalo FC of Free State on Wednesday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Young Bafana from the Western Cape were the first team to get eliminated from the ABC Motsepe League national playoffs. They lost all their two matches in Group B.

The final round of matches scheduled for Day hree will see FC Buffalo go in search of goals when they take on Dondol Stars in the opening match of the day at 10:30.
Mpheni Home Defenders will be looking to pull one over Orbit College at 13:00.
Group B will be filled with action in the last game of the day as Upington City battle it out against Amavarara FC to top the group at 15:30.
