The Polokwane High Court in Limpopo has sentenced a man to 58 years for raping a six-year-old girl. Nangoma Levy Micheal [29] to a combined fifty-eight years imprisonment for murder, rape, Kidnapping and defeating the ends of Justice on Wednesday, 7 June.

The accused kidnapped, raped and murdered a 6-year-old girl who was later found dead in Tubatse on 3 December 2021.

The matter was reported to the police who conducted intelligence-driven investigations that led to the arrest of the 29-year-old Nangoma Michael. He was charged with murder, rape, kidnapping and defeating the ends of Justice. Nangoma was ultimately found guilty as charged. He was convinced and sentenced to 25 years for murder, 25 for Rape, 5 for kidnapping and 3 for defeating the ends of Justice.

HEFTY SENTENCE FOR RAPING A SIX-YEAR-OLD

The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe welcomed the sentence. She applauded the police for their investigations that led to the sentencing of the accused.
