Due to a huge demand for Nominations submissions, SATMA Awards organisers have opted for an extension to 31 July 2023 for all submissions.

“This will offer all hopeful entrants an opportunity to still enter for the awards beyond the initial closing date,” they said in a statement.

SATMA Awards in partnership with the National Department of Art & Culture and SABC will host the 18th Annual edition. This year’s awards will be held under the theme My Culture, Your Culture, One Nation.

“We also announce 3 new categories: Best Traditional School group/artist, Best Traditional University group/artist, Best Traditional Influential Social Media Page,” they revealed.

“The organisers have also encouraged everyone to upload their nomination forms through the Awards website: www.satma awards.co.za.

“Should you not succeed in uploading your application form online, you can Email: nominations@satmaawards.co.za. There is no limit to the number of copies you can make of this entry form for other categories that applies to you, your Radio Station or your Record Label.

“To nominate your favourite Artist, Group, relevant to your station or label, please fill out the nominees form. The following must accompany every application:- Your Biography/ Picture/ audio/ of the artist you choose before 31 July 2023.”

The 18th SATMA Awards will take place in KwaZulu-Natal at the Durban International Convention Center. Nominees will be announced in Pretoria Gauteng in August.

The Awards’ main event date will be announced during the announcement of the nominees’ event.
