A 31-year-old female suspected drug dealer and a 30-year-old male were arrested on Friday, 7 July in Mankweng.
The pair were allegedly found in possession and dealing in drugs at Mentz Badimong, Mankweng outside Polokwane at about 11:00. This is after Police received information regarding drug dealing activities in the area.

The suspects were allegedly selling drugs to the local high school learners and at the taxi ranks. An intelligence-driven operation was thereafter conducted. Two learners were found in possession of two sachets of dagga at the taxi rank. Police followed information and also swooped in on the suppliers’ premises.

A 31-year-old woman was found in possession of 39 sachets of nyaope and nine sachets of crystal meth drugs with a street value of approximately R 5000.
FEMALE DRUG DEALER ARRESTED
The other male suspect was found in possession of three Nyaope balls containing 25 sachets with a street value of approximately R 3000.
The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe hailed the members involved for ridding this Province of Drugs. “These drugs were meant to destroy our youth’s future,” said General Hadebe.
Both suspects were also charged with dealing in drugs. They will also appear in the Mankweng Magistrate’s Court on Monday 10 July 2023.
