A petrol attendant and a Police officer have been arrested in Dennilton, Limpopo for allegedly misusing a state fleet card in return for cash. The arrest of the duo comes after a joint investigation into alleged corrupt activities.
Investigations revealed that on Sunday, 24 July the Police Sergeant colluded with the petrol attendant in carrying out corrupt activities.

The suspect went to the filling station to fill up petrol but instead, he swiped the state fleet card in return for cash and shared some with the petrol attendant.
The Police Sergeant attached to Matlelerekeng Police Station was also taken into custody after he handed himself into the Police. The petrol attendant, (25), was first to be arrested on Friday. He was also followed by the Police officer,(46) on Monday, 31 July.

The manager of the filling station realised the illegal activities and alerted the Police. Arrests were subsequently made following diligent investigation and evidence gathering.
The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has applauded the efforts of this team of investigators for their professionalism and dedication of uncovering corrupt activities and tirelessly working to restore and maintain public trust.
Both suspects will appear at Mdutjana Magistrate’s Court today 1 August 2023. They are facing charges of fraud.
