The artists include Makhadzi who has vowed to give music lovers more of what they want.

I don’t just sing, my songs teach and make people know about what is happening in life. Being invited to a festival has come to “me as a milestone that means a lot, not only to me but also to those who support my music’, she said.

The organisers say they also want to use the festival to introduce aspiring artists to the world.

“We expect thousands of people to come and attend this event. It will also have a positive spinoff in terms of our local businesspeople,” said the spokesperson of the Festival, Divhambele Mbalavhali. “This festival will also create a platform for sharing and exposing the talents of our local artists.”

Business Manager of SABC Limpopo Madikana Matjila says Nandoni Dam will be the place to be on 16 September.
