Police have activated a massive manhunt for a group of heavily armed suspects who allegedly blasted two ATMs at Moletlane Plaza. The incident took place in the early hours of Wednesday, 2 August 2023.

According to information, a 49-year-old Security guard was on duty at the Plaza on the said night at around 02:00. He allegedly noticed a group of armed suspects, who apparently also noticed him and started to chase after him.

The Security seemingly managed to evade the robbers and went to safety. Security officer while in hiding, heard the sound of a blasts. Moments later the suspects fled the scene in an unknown vehicle at high speed.

Two ATMs were bombed and the suspects also managed to flee the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

ATMs BOMBED AT MOLETLANE PLAZA

The Police were immediately notified and opened two counts of Malicious damage to property and two counts of Business Robbery. A manhunt for the suspects involved has been launched.

The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has called upon the Investigation team to track down the suspects with a view to arrest them.
