Police in Botlokwa, Limpopo have launched a manhunt after the body of a 55-year-old shepherd who went missing on 14 October was found with multiple stab wounds in the bushes. The gruesome discovery was made a day after he was reported missing at Makgato village.

According to reports, the deceased Edward Morokolo left in the morning heading cattle to the grazing field. But he never returned home.

The matter was reported to the police the following day and consequently, a missing case was opened. Police immediately started the search operation joined by community members.

BOTLOKWA SHEPHERD FOUND DEAD IN THE BUSHES

Subsequently, the victim’s body was found on Monday afternoon, 16 October with multiple stab wounds in the grazing field. His cellphone was still in his possession.

The motive of the killing is unknown at this stage and the Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
