The Limpopo Organised Crime Unit are hard on the heels of the unknown suspects who allegedly committed an ATM bombing in Duthuni village. The incident took place at a Global Filling Station in the Thulamela Municipality in the early hours of Wednesday, 15 November at about 02:30.
A 40-year-old employee at the Filling Station was reportedly asleep when he heard a loud sound outside the premises. But did not go out to investigate what was happening because he feared for his life.

The employee patiently waited and went outside to investigate while calling the police and management of the filling station afterwards.

Upon their arrival, they found an ATM that was situated outside the premises blasted with explosives. A substantial amount of money was taken during the incident.
Police are investigating cases of theft, Contravention of Explosives and malicious damage to property.
