Police in Limpopo are investigating the murder of two men who were gunned down while chilling with three ladies at Playland Entertainment Park, Tswinga Village. The men, aged between 37 and 40, were found lying with multiple gunshot wounds on Sunday, 19 November at about 21:00.

According to the information received, the two victims (deceased) were with three ladies at the said place during load-shedding, relaxing next to their motor vehicles, a maroon VW Golf and a silver-grey BMW. When the ladies went to the offices to fetch their cellphones as they left them to charge. They then heard gunshots but didn’t know where they were coming from.

On their arrival, they found both victims lying down with gunshot wounds. They then called the police and emergency personnel services. The victims aged 37 and 40 respectively were certified dead at the scene.

Police opened two counts of murder. During the investigation, empty cartridges were found at the scene. The motive for the killing is currently unknown at this stage, and the suspects are not yet identified.

Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, condemned the incident. She has called upon the community to assist with information on the suspects.
