MEC for Transport and Community Safety in Limpopo Florence Radzilani on Thursday launched the 2023 Festive Season Road Safety Campaign. The event took place at Ga-Mamaila, Greater Letaba Municipality, in Mopani District Municipality.

Radzilani chose to Launch the Festive Season Road Safety Campaign within the Mopani District, due to an upward pattern of road fatalities that have been reported throughout the year.

During her address Radzilani stated that the Province was anticipating high traffic volumes, during the Festive Season. This is due to the heightened presence of vehicles that will be traveling through to different parts of the Province and to neighboring Countries.

“We are making a clarion call, that all motorists should not overload their vehicles,” she said.

“They must exercise patience and restraint on the road. Take regular rest to avoid being fatigued, and don’t drink and drive” said MEC Radzilani.

LIMPOPO READY AHEAD OF THE 2023 FESTIVE SEASON

Radzilani also highlighted that the Limpopo Provincial Government is ready to deal with the festive season. They will also make it a point that Police and Traffic Officials work hard to ensure that there is safety in our roads and Communities.
