Police Detectives in Senwabarwana, Limpopo have arrested a 39-year-old Man who allegedly killed his wife [33] by stabbing her with an unknown instrument in Witte Maraise village. 

According to reports, on Wednesday, 17 January 2024, Police were summoned to the said village. This is after a 15-year-old girl found her mother lying in a pool of blood at her grandparent’s house.

Her mother was staying at the said place after separating from her father in August 2023. The daughter broke open the gate-lock after she knocked, and there was no response. Police arrived at the scene with emergency personnel, and the victim was certified dead.

A case of murder was opened to trace and arrest the suspect. On Thursday, 18 January 2024, at around 11h30, the Police arrested the suspect at Muduruni village under the Tshilwavhusiku policing area in Vhembe District. 

MAN ARRESTED FOR STABBING HIS WIFE TO DEATH IN SENWABARWANA 

The Acting Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo SAPS Major General Jan Scheepers has condemned the incident and encouraged domestic violence victims to stand bold and report these cases in time.

The suspect will appear before Senwabarwana magistrate’s court on Friday, 19 January 2024. He is facing a case of murder.

MOKWAKWAILA POLICE LAUNCH MANHUNT FOR SUSPECTS ACCUSED OF ROBBERY AND MALICIOUS DAMAGE TO PROPERTY 

Meanwhile, Police at Mokwakwaila in Mopani District have launched a manhunt for a group of armed suspects. This is after they robbed a shopkeeper and damaged the property at Kuranta village, on Tuesday, 16 January 2024. 

According to reports, the victim aged 34 was at the General Dealer store driving a forklift in the yard when a group of armed suspects emerged and immediately pointed at him with firearms. They instructed him to the store, while one of them went to a parked vehicle broke the windows and searched it.

Suspects took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register, camera recorder, and decorder. Other employees who were also at the store yard were robbed of cellphones, amongst other items.

Police were alerted about the incident and opened cases of business robbery and malicious damage to property.
