A 40-year-old Man, Malose Andries Mogale, charged with the murder of his brother-in-law appeared briefly before Lebowakgomo Magistrate’s Court, Limpopo this week. Mogale is facing charges of murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm.

He was remanded in Police custody until 26 February 2024 for bail application and further Police investigation.

The suspect was arrested by SAPS members of the Provincial Tracking Team and Provincial Murder and Robbery units, on Monday, 19 February 2024. He was at his hiding spot in Valdezia village under the Waterval policing area. Mogale was undergoing training as a traditional healer.

The deceased, aged 49, was shot and killed at Lebowakgomo next to the old show ground on 27 February 2023. During that incident, the suspects did not take any of his belongings. Including a firearm [rifle] that was in his vehicle.

LEBOWAKGOMO BROTHER-IN-LAW APPEAR IN COURT FOR MURDER

Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has praised the members for tracking down the suspect and also apprehending him. More arrests are expected while the Police investigation is continuing.
