On Monday after considering the urgent application, the Polokwane High Court dismissed the application for lack of urgency. It was dismissed with costs.

“The ANC Limpopo PEC welcomes the High Court decision and strongly believes that it will send a message to its members to desist from using the court to demand deployment,” said the ANC.

“Deployment in the ANC remains a privilege and not a right, and the organization will continue to vigorously defend any court application aimed at forcing its structures to effect deployments in favour of any applicant.

“The ANC Limpopo further calls upon all its members to use the available political remedies provided by various guidelines and the constitution where they feel aggrieved.”

Meanwhile, Ponagatjo Negry Chiloane will represent Defenders of the People while Hlakodisho Hlabanelo Ramalebana will represent the EFF. Leka Steven Nambo will represent Economic Liberators Forum South Africa and Thapelo Mowa will represent United Africans Transformation.
