Head coach Emily Mathosa congratulates her players on their journey thus far. She also speaks on how they will prepare for their maiden final appearance.

“I feel very awesome and I am so proud of the Girls,” said Mathosa.

“I am proud of myself as well and everyone that has been working with me and the management. It’s a good feeling to win. Who would ever think that Baobabs would be Champions? So we made history so yes it’s a good feeling.”

“We came ready for them because we have been studying their games and watching how they have been playing. We were able to shut down every corner that they tried to put between the four lines.”

Mathosa also spoke on what drove them to succeed this season. “It’s the hunger of wanting to win,” she explained.

“The hunger of wanting to show up and wanting to put up the province on the map. I think it’s a matter of how we prepared before the tournament and it also meant a lot for them to take their time and come through here. Make sure that they don’t drop the ball so I am happy with how they pulled up and congratulations to them.”
