“Our role is to motivate and give them hope. They must feel that they are important and the society as well,” club boss Mphahlele told Limpopo Chronicle.
“It means a lot to us because Mandela was our icon. So to do this for Mandela we feel very proud and honoured.”
The club is set to have an official media briefing to unveil new signings as well as the departures. They have already lost long-serving Goalkeeper Oscarine Masuluke who has joined Stellenbosch. Defender and academy graduate Basil Mphahlele has also been signed by Stellies.
