Illegal gambling spot shutdown in Phalaborwa

Police in Phalaborwa, Limpopo have conducted a disruptive takedown Operation, shutting down an illegal Gambling spot.
The team comprising SAPS Provincial Organised Crime Investigation Unit, FLASH Unit and Limpopo Gambling Board operationalized intelligence information gathered.

The operation was conducted after a thorough and lengthy investigation was conducted through intelligence
Two female suspects aged 40 and 47 were as a result arrested for operating the Phalaborwa illegal Gambling sites. During the Operation, ten suspects were nabbed for engaging in illegal Gambling activities.
ILLEGAL GAMBLING SPOT SHUTDOWN
Fifty illegal gambling machines have also been confiscated with a cash amount of R3000.
The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe applauded the collaborative efforts by the teams involved. The suspects are expected to appear before Phalaborwa Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 28 July.
