Baroka FC have confirmed the appointment of well-traveled coach Dan Malesela as their new head coach. Malesela takes over from Stanford Nkoane who was fired from his post this past weekend.

Baroka, a former DStv Premiership club, have had a terrible start to their season. They have only collected three points in their opening five matches.
Malesela was unveiled during a media briefing held at the club’s Village in Lebowakgomo, Limpopo on Monday.
“We are serious about this business and we don’t have time to play. He is an experienced man and I trust him,” said club boss Khurishi Mphahlele.
“He is going to be with us until the end of the season. Hopefully when we go to the DStv Premiership. Our aim is to go to the DStv Premiership, that’s why we have a man like Dan Malesela here to sign with us.
“Personally I am a fan of Dan Malesela and it has been my dream to have him here one day. I have tried so many times. He knows that he can come here but we were not lucky all the time. This time around we were lucky that he is here today and I am so happy,” he said.
DAN MALESELA APPOINTED NEW COACH OF BAROKA FC
The 58-year-old Malesela told the media that he has always been a fan of Baroka and their vision.
“I was fortunate sometimes when I was with the other team [Marumo Gallants], I was driving with the technical team. So I said I was interested in seeing the Village.
“I came in and I was fortunate the chairman was here and I was highly impressed with what I saw. Something kept bugging me as to why this team would be playing in the first division. With this facility and everything that is here, this is like a dream for many clubs, even those in the DStv Premiership,” said a delighted Malesela.
“In the back of my mind, I said maybe one day things will happen that I can help this club. Here it is, let’s see.”
The coach is expected to be on the bench when Baroka welcomes Upington City in Lebowakgomo on Wednesday.
