Limpopo Police handed over 50 new vehicles

MEC for Transport and Community Safety in Limpopo Mme Florence Radzilani on Monday presided over the Limpopo Police event, to hand over 50 vehicles. The vehicles were handed to the SAPS various units, throughout the Province.
The 50 vehicles will be shared by all the Districts and various Units of the SAPS. This includes Detective units, stock theft and Community Police Forums.

This windfall takes place ahead of the Easter Long Weekend, and this injection is expected to help the Police, to jerk up their crime-fighting endeavours, during this period.
Addressing the occasion, the Provincial Commissioner of the Police in Limpopo, Lt-Gen Thembi Hadebe, called upon members of the Police to take extra care of these new vehicles, and not neglect the old ones.
Lt-Gen Hadebe also made a clarion call to community members. To refrain from stoning Police vehicles, as these are government resources that should service them, in their time of need.
50 NEW VEHICLES HANDED OVER TO LIMPOPO POLICE BY MEC FLORENCE RADZILANI
In her keynote address, MEC Radzilani impressed upon the Members of the SAPS, that they should prioritise the use of these vehicles for community use.
She further indicated that the vehicles should be used to intercept criminal syndicates. Such as stock theft and drug trade in our communities.
The MEC concluded her address, by also calling upon community members, to respect states’ assets. Also to continue to report perpetrators of crimes, at all times.
