Prudence Sekgodiso from Bolobedu, Limpopo continues her winning streak as she landed the second Diamond League victory of her career with a win in the women’s 800m in 1min 58.66sec at Oslo on Thursday.
Sekgodiso secured the victory ahead of Natoya Goule-Toppin of Jamaica in 1:59.10. She was also the winner in Marrakesh nearly two weeks ago.

Competing at the Stanislas meeting in Nancy, France, Sekgodiso also blazed through the 800 meters in a stunning time of 1 minute 59.63 seconds a fortnight ago.
“There is still so much more to come, I am only 22,” she told the media afterwards.
“So still many things to work on. My work has just paid off and it is still going well towards the Olympic Games. This means a lot to me and I am ready for more,” she said.

Her outstanding performance not only adds another victory to her record but also marks the fifth time under the two-minute barrier.
Meanwhile, Akani Simbine timed a season’s best 9.94 seconds to upstage Italy’s Olympic champion Marcell Jacobs over 100m.
Simbine was slow out of the blocks. But he produced a strong second half and a savage dip to claim victory ahead of Japan’s Abdul Hakim Sani Brown, in 9.99sec. Emmanuel Eseme from Cameroon rounded out the podium in 10.01sec, with Jacobs finishing fourth [10.03].
“It ended up in the rain which probably influenced the race,” said Simbine. “But at the end of the day, we all have to run 100m rain or not and get to the line first.
“I did that today which I am happy with. But I have a lot to work on and a lot to do. I am happy with my performance and I hope there will be more highlights coming up as we build towards the Olympic Games.”
“I put my marker out to the world today that I am here. The goal was the win today and I did that. Getting the win always helps with confidence as we get closer to Paris,” he added.
