Search for missing 8-year-old boy from Khakhala

Police have launched an extensive search operation to locate a missing Rifumo Chabalala [8] from Khakhala village, Limpopo who went to play with friends at the local soccer field but never returned home.

Chabalala went missing on Monday afternoon, 3 June 2024. According to the preliminary information, the child left home at about 16:00.

The family of the 8-year-old boy reported the matter to the local Police the following day on [Tuesday]. Subsequently, a joint search operation ensued consisting of the SAPS Muyexe and Giyani members, Search and Rescue unit and K9 Unit, supported by community members which went all over the area searching for the victim with no success.
