Police in Limpopo intercepted a 36-year-old Man in Polokwane who was en route to smuggle a stolen vehicle to Zimbabwe through the Beitbridge border post.
The suspect was driving a stolen Toyota Fortuner from Gauteng. He was apprehended on Thursday morning, 06 June 2024 in the Matlala policing area outside Polokwane.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the vehicle was stolen on General Election Day in Sinoville.

The Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has welcomed the arrest. She commended the collaboration between SAPS and private security to tackle these crimes effectively.
The suspect will appear before Seshego Magistrate’s Court facing a charge of possession of a presumed stolen motor vehicle.
