Man kills relative whom he accused of stealing his belongings

A 46-year-old Man from Sekhukhune in Limpopo killed his relative [49]  for allegedly stealing personal belongings. The incident took place on Thursday, 20 June in Mohlaletse village. 

The suspect confronted the victim at his residence, accusing him of stealing personal belongings. An argument ensued, escalating into a physical altercation.

It is alleged that during the confrontation, the suspect fatally injured the victim. He handed himself over to the police on Tuesday, 25 June following a thorough police investigation. The Man identified as Justice Mampuru appeared before Sekhukhune Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 26 June.

THE MAN WHO KILLED HIS RELATIVE IN LIMPOPO MADE HIS FIRST COURT APPEARANCE 

Mampuru was remanded in custody until Monday, 01 July 2024 for a formal bail application and further police investigation. The deceased has been identified as Jeremy Phasha(49).
