Human remains discovered next to an initiation school in Limpopo

Burgersfort police in the Sekhukhune District, Limpopo are investigating an inquest case after the discovery of human remains next to an initiation school. The human remains were discovered on Wednesday, 26 June 2024, at Stocking Mbabalelo bushes.
According to reports, initiates were gathering firewood when they came across human remains. Including a skull as well as male and female clothing that included grey trousers, red jersey, grey socks, and grey traditional women’s outfit.

It appears that the bones have been at the scene for an extended period of time. The circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated, and the identity of the deceased remains unknown at this stage.

Meanwhile, still in Limpopo, a 20-year-old suspect, Parsons Seepi Maduwe accused of the murder of his 16-year-old brother, Rethabile Matsobane Maduwe has appeared before Phalala Magistrate’s Court on Friday 28 June. His case was postponed until Thursday 04 July 2024 for formal bail application and further police investigation.
The incident took place at Vianeen village, Marken, under Villa Nora policing area on Wednesday, 26 June. The police were on duty when they received a complaint about the murder.
Upon arrival at the scene, they discovered a teenage body lying on his bed facing up with stab wounds on his back.
The two brothers allegedly got into a heated argument which escalated to a physical fight. During which the brother allegedly stabbed the younger brother in the back with a knife. After the ordeal, the suspect went to the relatives to inform them about the incident. The Emergency Medical Personnel certified the victim dead at the scene.
