Taxi passengers robbed, one killed on the N1 in Limpopo

Passengers were robbed of their belongings, one of them killed, when a Toyota Quantum Taxi they were travelling in accidentally hit spikes on the N1, Limpopo.
The incident took place along the N1 Radium Bela Bela in the Waterberg district on Monday at about 22:20.

It is alleged that the driver was driving on N1 with six passengers. He stopped the Quantum and checked what had happened. While other passengers searched for stones to lift the trailer and change the tire he then noticed two unknown men sleeping on the grass.
They then threatened him with a firearm, and he tried to run and warn other passengers to run for their lives. He fell in the middle of the grass.
His brother, one of the passengers, was walking toward the road when the suspects shot him in the back and knocked him down. The suspects then searched the remaining passengers. They robbed them of an undisclosed amount of cash and five cellphones, and fled the scene.

Police were notified, and murder, and armed robbery cases were opened. Emergency personnel services were called, and they certified the brother dead at the scene. Bela Bela police are on the lookout for suspects involved in murder and armed robbery.
