Thugs burn school, stealing valuable items in Hlanganani

Unknown suspects broke into four schools in Hlanganani, Limpopo burning some blocks and stealing items and cash. The incident occurred at around 04:30 on Saturday morning. Police were called to four scenes of crimes in the early hours of the morning.

According to reports, the complainant was alerted by community members that the Ximausa village Gidela secondary school was burning. He quickly rushed to the scene and found the administration block was burned. Upon checking, it was noticed that the doors of the school premises were forced open and an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen. 

The items such as stationery, photocopy machines, printers, furniture, soccer kits, and school trophies, among other. They were damaged during the fire. The total value of damaged and stolen items is estimated at R341 700.

In another incident that took place at Ximausa Mpembelani school, Ha-Aka primary school Nobelhoek village and Nobelhoek primary school laptops and tables were stolen.
