Star sign FC announces leadership changes

SAFA Capricorn side Star Sign FC have announced major changes within their leadership structure which sees Kagiso Komote stepping down as chairman. The changes are effective from the 2024/25 season.
The club has also announced that former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Walter Maponyane has relinquished his head coach position.

In a statement issued to the media, the club has announced Thapelo Sebe as the big boss. Sebe is no stranger to the club as he has previously played and also served as a goalkeeper coach.
CHANGES IN THE STAR SIGN FC HEIRACHT AHEAD OF THE UPCOMING SEASON
“The club would like to announce that there will be changes in the club’s hierarchy for the 2024-2025 season,” the club said.
Thapelo Sebe, who has played for the club and also served as a goalkeeper coach, is now the new chairman of the club, replacing Kagiso Komote.
Thapelo Sebe, an educator by profession, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He has also played for Great North FC and the University of Limpopo FC, among others. Additionally, Thapelo Sebe served as the goalkeeper coach for the University of Limpopo FC during the Varsity Football competition in 2024.”
“The club would further like to announce that Walter Maponyane, who has been serving as the head coach of the first team, is no longer the head coach. We would like to thank him for his unwavering commitment and contributions to the club and wish him well in his future endeavours.
“An announcement regarding the replacement of the departing coach will be made in due course.”
