White Man graduates from Moteti Initiation School

A 41-year-old white Man, with an ‘ancestral calling’ was among the 85 initiates who graduated from the Moteti Initiation School, Limpopo on Sunday.
The Man, whose name is being withheld for spiritual and traditional reasons, is believed to have an ancestral calling. For him to follow the calling, he needed to complete the initiation process first.

The head of the initiation school Dr. Morwangwato, has reflected on the unique event. He told Dennilton Newsroom that the man had an ancestral calling, which necessitated undergoing the initiation process.

“Our traditions are open to anyone called by the ancestors,” explained Dr. Morwangwato who is also a traditional healer.
“Mlungu’s journey shows that our culture is welcoming and that ancestral callings can come to anyone.”

Meanwhile, 208 boys graduated from the Dzingi-Dzingi initiation school over the weekend. The welcome-back ceremony was held at Hosi Maswanganyi’s royal palace.
Hosi Maswanganyi addressed the graduates, praising their resilience and dedication. He also emphasized the importance of their journey and the cultural heritage it represents.
