Limpopo cyclist killed in hit and run accident

A cyclist was knocked down by an unknown motor vehicle, which fled the scene along the R36 near Mokgolobotho village, Limpopo on Saturday. The accident occurred at approximately 07:00 in the Mopani District.
Ritavi police appeal to members of the public for assistance in identifying a deceased African male.

According to the information available at this stage, the victim was riding a bicycle when he was knocked down by an unknown motor vehicle. The emergency medical personnel certified the victim dead at the scene.
The deceased is also believed to be in his early 60s. He was wearing black formal trousers. A sky blue long sleeve shirt with brown stripes, black water boots, and a black and white Ellese cap.

Police have also opened a case of culpable homicide and they have intensified efforts to apprehend the perpetrator.
