Electricity supply interruption for Ha-Kutama residents 

The Makhado Local Municipality, Limpopo, has alerted the residents of Manavhela, Ha-Kutama of electricity supply interruption. The interruptions are scheduled for Thursday, 11 July from 09:am until 14:00. Users who are connected to the Zamenkomste Feeder Line will be the most affected.

“Notice is given hereby of an interruption of the electricity supply to consumers of Manavhela,” the Municipality said on Monday.

“The interruption will take place on Thursday the 11 July 2024 from 09h00 to 14h00. Consumers that will be affected are those connected to Zamenkomste Feeder Line,” they confirmed.

“The interruption is necessary to enable the council to close the span. No guarantee can be given that the electricity supply will be interrupted during the entire specified time,” the Municipality clarified. 

“The electricity supply to certain parts of the electricity network may be restored earlier than the specified time or not interrupted at all.

“All consumers are therefore warned that the council’s electrical lines must be considered live during the entire period. The interruption will however be subjected to fair weather conditions. We apologize for the inconvenience that may be caused.”

Meanwhile, the Municipality’s Municipal Public Account Committee (MPAC) visited several service delivery projects on Monday to provide oversight as part of monitoring and evaluation. An R20 million budget meant to develop Roads and Storm Water for the 700 recently demarcated stands at South of Pretorius in Makhado Town was recently allocated.
