Man arrested for the Thornhill gym murder case

Mabu Mailula appeared in court for the murder of Polokwane businessman Jacky Ramogale, who was gunned down at the Thornhill gym in January this year. Mailula [44] was remanded in custody when he appeared before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

He is facing charges of conspiracy to commit murder and murder. The matter was postponed until 22 July 2024 for profiling and possible bail application.

Mailula was arrested on Friday, 12 July 2024  in connection with the murder of Ramogale, who was gunned down on Tuesday night, 30 January 2024 at about 21:30. The deceased was an executive member of a well-known Funeral Parlour.

SUSPECT IN JACKY RAMOGALE MURDER AT THORNHILL GYM ARRESTED

It was reported at the time of the incident that police responded to a shooting incident. Upon arrival at the scene, the deceased was found lying in a pool of blood with gunshot wounds on the neck.

The motive for the killing is unknown at this stage. Police are still busy with investigations with the possibility of linking more suspects to the incident.
