Man arrested for teaching Job scam

A 28-year-old man has been arrested for soliciting an R15 000 bribe to assist in getting a teaching job at a local Secondary School in Mankweng, Limpopo. The incident happened in 2023. Â
According to the information provided, the suspect solicited R15 000 from the victim by offering to assist him in getting a teaching post that he applied for at the school.

The complainant then deposited the money into the bank provided to him. On 27 March 2023, the complainant reported the matter to the Police. A case of fraud was registered for further investigation.

The docket was transferred to the relevant unit at the Provincial Commercial Crime Unit. Subsequent to the intensive Police investigation, on Tuesday, 16 July 2024. Â The suspect aged 28 was arrested for fraud at Lulekani.Â
He will appear before the Mankweng Regional Court on Wednesday, 17 July 2024. The Police investigations are ongoing.
