Two more arrests in Thornhill Gym murder case

Two suspects, both aged 37 have been arrested in connection with a murder case of the late Jacky Ramogale [40] who was shot outside the Thornhill gym, Polokwane.
Ramogale was killed at a parking area next to the gymnasium on 30 January 2024, at around 21:30. He was an executive member of a well-known funeral parlour, Lebowa Funeral.

Following the ongoing intensive investigation, the members of the Provincial Murder and Robbery, Provincial Tracking Team, joined by private security arrested two more suspects who are believed to be businessmen in Polokwane on Tuesday, 16 July.
During the arrest, Police confiscated two firearms. Their arrest follows a shooting incident where the 40-year-old was shot dead at a parking lot at Thornhill.

He was found lying in a pool of blood with gunshot wounds. The motive behind the murder is still unknown at this stage.
Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has welcomed the arrest. The two suspects will appear before Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Thursday. They are facing charges of conspiracy to commit murder and murder.
On Monday, a first suspect Mabu Mailula appeared in court and he was remanded in custody. The 44-year-old is facing charges of conspiracy to commit murder and murder. His case was postponed until 22 July 2024 for profiling and possible bail application.
