Newly promoted Limpopo club Magesi FC have released 12 players ahead of the new DStv Premiership season. Magesi were promoted to the elite league after finishing first in the Motsepe Foundation Championship last season.

They have stuck with head coach Clinton Larsen despite reports that he could be on his way out.

So far, the club has signed experienced players such as Kaizer Chiefs winger Kgaogelo Sekgota and Gift Motupa. The club is also set to announce the arrival of a few more players in the upcoming days.

WHO ARE THE PLAYERS RELEASED BY LIMPOPO CLUB MAGESI FC? 

On Friday, the club named 12 players that have been released including former Orlando Pirates defender Diamond Thopola. 

“Magesi Football Club would like to thank the following outgoing players for their contribution to the team,” the club said. 

Mpho Raseona, Mcedi Vandala, Dawny Makgatho, Elson Sithole, Diamond Thopola. Vuyisile Wana, Tebogo Mokalapa, Mmahlogo Masemola, Raphile Mawela, Thitswalo Masebe, Katleho Molaba, Ntuthuko Mlotshwa.

The club is set to play their home matches at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium. This is despite the earlier indications that they prefer the Seshego Stadium.
