Date and new venue for Limpopo Music Awards revealed

The organisers of the Limpopo Music Awards (LIMA) have announced the date for the 2024 edition, also revealing Mekete Boutique and Events as the new venue. Over the past few years, the event has been held at Meropa Casino outside Polokwane.

In an official statement issued on Thursday, the LIMA organisers confirmed they have announced a new venue.

The Limpopo Music Awards is an annual event dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the musical talents and achievements of artists from Limpopo province. Established to promote and uplift the local music industry, LIMA has become a cornerstone event in the South African music calendar. 

WHY THE CHANGE OF VENUE TO MEKETE BOUTIQUE AND EVENTS?

“After careful consideration and in an effort to avoid concept duplication, the decision has been made to move the event from the previous location, Meropa Casino and Entertainment World,” the organisers also revealed.

“This change marks a new chapter for LIMA, promising an even more unique and memorable experience for all attendees.”

DATE FOR THE 2024 LIMPOPO MUSIC AWARDS HAVE BEEN REVEALED

The awards will take place on Saturday, 16 November from 17:00 until 21:00. “The Limpopo Music Awards celebrates the rich musical talent of the province. Recognizing the outstanding achievements of local artists,” they said.

“This year’s move to Mekete Boutique and Events aligns with our goal. To provide an exclusive and innovative event environment that honours the creativity and diversity of our musicians.”
